First Big Hike
Farah and I went on our first big hike last weekend. The weather was beautiful, but still not too hot. We went to Namhansanseong in Seongnam-Si. There were many other people out, but strangely this didn't bother me. This mountain is such an integral part of the Korean identity. It sums up their history, individuality and self-sufficience all in one gigantic mountain. Watching them walk around the site in groups of friends and families was really interesting. You see the pride they take in the mountain and sometimes you sorrow when there is a plaque explaining some ungodly invasion or war that their ancestors had to endure. Anyone who has read their Korean history quickly realizes the resiliency and tenacity inherent within the people here.

Hey Chad!
how have to been?
well its been forever since i last looked at your blog, so im finally all caught up on it all.
Korea lookes incredible, and it seems as though you are enjoying yourself as well.
Well, as much as i want to say that im coming to visit you, i can't see it happening. After all, I dont think I can go without these
freezing cold, blizzarding winter days. But you never know, maybe someday.
I have got to admit, im a little bit dissapointed that your not here to be a excellent rolemodel for me, as im getting older. But i guess i will just have to pretend that you are, with all of the stories with Becky. Haha
Well i suppose i should cut it off here. So i can't wait to get more updates on your life in Korea.
Love you lots!
